Change of Plans & Café Hunt
I wanted to get a haircut this afternoon in Sangwangsimni, but since I didn’t make a reservation, I ended up booking one for the next day. Luckily, I had already searched for a good study cafe in Seoul near Sangwangsimni and Sindang, and came across a place called Brick Haus—a cozy café just about 15 minutes from Sangwangsimni Station and 4 minutes from Sindang Station.

First Impressions of Study Cafe in Seoul: Brick Haus

Brick Haus is exactly what the name suggests—a huge brick building that instantly stands out. The café has two floors:
- On the first floor, you can place your order at the counter.
- The second floor has a large, spacious seating area.

Restroom tip: the men’s restroom is located in the hallway on the second floor, while the women’s restroom is inside the café on the same floor.

Seating & Ambience at This Study Cafe in Seoul
The café offers a variety of tables and seating options, including:
- 2-person tables
- 4-person tables
- Tables for four or more people

Most seats come with wooden chairs, and there’s plenty of space between tables. The music is calm and not too loud, which made it easy for me to focus on my work. Around 3PM, the café got a bit busier, but there were still plenty of available seats—perfect if you’re searching for a cafe near me with wifi to study.
What I Ordered: Greengrape Ade & Blueberry Scone

I ordered a Greengrape Ade (₩5,500) and a Blueberry Scone Dessert (₩4,500). I was in the mood for something sweet, and the drink didn’t disappoint. It was refreshing, with real grape skins that added a fun texture to the soda. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting that—but it worked!

The scone was okay—not amazing, but decent. The blueberry tasted like jam, and the white cream on top was rich, almost like butter. After two bites, I started feeling thirsty, so I was glad I had a drink with it. If you’re into trying different scone cafe near me spots in Seoul, you might want to find a different café for a less sweet and softer scone.

Rewards, Wifi, and House Rules
After paying, you can receive a loyalty coupon. If you collect 10 stamps, you get a free drink of your choice.

I sat on the second floor, and if you’re looking for the Wi-Fi password, it’s posted at the self-service station in the middle of the room where you’ll also find cups and napkins. Alongside the Wi-Fi info, you’ll see basic house rules, including:
- No outside food or drinks
- No leaving your seat unattended for long periods
If you need water, just ask the staff on the first floor.
All in all, it felt like a classic Korean study cafe setup, with clear rules to keep the space comfortable for everyone.
Final Thoughts on Brick Haus as a Study Cafe in Seoul
This is my second café post, and I’m happy to have found Brick Haus. It’s a spacious and quiet spot—great for solo work, casual study sessions, or just sipping something sweet on a relaxed afternoon. The ambiance, layout, and flexibility in seating make it an ideal hidden study cafe in Seoul near Sangwangsimni and Sindang.
