REZERO Seoul Café – Rooftop Café with Crogel & City View

If you’re searching for a hidden gem café in Seoul, REZERO Seoul might be your next favorite spot. Tucked away on a hill and offering a unique rooftop view of Namsan Tower, this café combines a great work-friendly atmosphere with memorable drinks and pastries like the popular crogel.

Getting There – Slightly Tricky but Worth It

hill to the REZERO cafe

On my way to REZERO café, I had to walk up a small hill which made the 12-minute walk from the Gyeongbokgung station exit 7 slightly inconvenient. What made it more confusing was the lack of a clear entrance sign. Fortunately, Rezero parking lot had a visible sign, and the narrow path next to it turned out to be the right way. I confirmed the entrance using Naver Map, which showed a photo and directions—helpful tip: turn left as you go uphill. Near the entrance, I saw claw machines and an elevator with a café sign that reassured me I was on the right path.

How to Order – Drinks, Crogel, and Helpful Staff

REZERO 3rd floor

At this Seoul café, you can place your drink order either via the kiosk or directly at the counter. For baked goods like the crogel, pick what you want and place it on your tray, then head to the counter to pay. The staff kindly informed me to heat the crogel in the microwave at 200°C for 2–3 minutes. Highly recommended—it makes the outside perfectly crispy while keeping the inside soft and warm.

I asked a few questions while ordering, and a friendly male staff member kindly helped me out every time.

What I Ordered – Café Latte and Basil Crogel

basil crogel and cafe latte

I went with a café latte (₩7,000) using their basic coffee bean and a basil crogel (₩5,500). Yes, it was a bit pricey compared to other cafes in Seoul, but honestly, the overall experience made it worthwhile. The latte had a strong, bold flavor—not unpleasantly bitter, just rich and satisfying.

The crogel (croissant + bagel) caught my eye thanks to the ad in the elevator, and I’m glad I tried it. The basil crogel had a thin, crispy outer layer and soft, chewy inside. It reminded me of a sweet basil pizza crust—but lighter, not oily or overly sweet. I usually don’t finish baked goods quickly, but this one was addictive. I finished it faster than expected!

Rooftop & Interior – Best Café View in Seoul?

4th floor interior

Due to the hot summer weather, the 4th floor windows were closed, but staff said I could leave my food there and open the window to check out the rooftop. The rooftop offers an amazing city view of Seoul, including Namsan Tower, and I can imagine how relaxing it would be on a cooler day.

The 4th floor is the ideal place for those looking for a bright, open café space with sunlight. It has higher-level tables, seats suitable for working on a laptop, and some electrical outlets near the walls. However, on the rooftop area, seating includes a blue sculpture-style bench, which makes it hard to place trays—so only take-out containers are practical there.

If you’re coming with friends, the 3rd floor has more low-level tables and a cozy, chatting-friendly vibe instead of a work-focused setup.
