King Sejong Peaceful Cafe Near Me – Leedorim Coffee & Vegan Bakery is just 8 minutes from Gyeongbokgung Station Exit 2. This peaceful vegan cafe is unique because it’s located at King Sejong’s birthplace, and the CEO designed the space with two main values in mind: King Sejong’s love for his people and the idea of a peaceful, healing cafe near me.

A Cafe Inspired by King Sejong’s History
The interior of Leedorim (Main) recreates the natural environment that once surrounded King Sejong’s birthplace. In the past, the area was embraced by Inwangsan and Bukaksan mountains with the Suseong-dong Valley flowing nearby. Although the original waterway no longer exists, the café has beautifully recreated this scenery indoors with moss, rocks, water, and mist. You can experience this unique atmosphere especially on the 1st and 2nd floors.
Leedorim (Main Building): Quiet Spaces and Scenic Views at King Sejong Peaceful Cafe Near Me
- 1st Floor: The counter and the grounding point of the large rock structure.

- 2nd Floor (Main Hall): Overlooks the rock and mist from above. This hall is perfect to work or chat with friends. You can also access the annex area here.

- 3rd & 4th Floor (Rooftop): Outdoor seating with views of Inwangsan Mountain in Seoul and Bukaksan.

Leedorim (Annex Building): King Sejong Peaceful Cafe Near Me – A Unique Hanok Experience
- 2nd Floor (Pavilion) and 3rd Floor (Hanok Terrace): This side of the café embraces traditional Korean design. Inside, you’ll find wooden furniture, traditional Korean items such as hangari and calligraphy, and warm hanok cafe colors. Outside the windows, real hanok houses create a calming and authentic Korean vibe.

Vegan Pastries and Drinks at Leedorim

One of the highlights of Leedorim Coffee & Vegan Bakery is its wide selection of pastries and cakes, including many vegan cafe options. I asked the staff for recommendations, and they told me that every pastry sells equally well – meaning all are good!

Here’s what I tried:
- Cream Latte (7,000 KRW) – Lightly sweet milk cream paired with a smooth latte. The balance of aromatic coffee and creamy milk was perfect.
- Vegan Tiramisu (6,800 KRW) – Soft, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Honestly, it tasted like a moist chocolate cake with cream. I loved this one the most!
- Mulungdowon Queena Bread (5,500 KRW)– Their number one pastry. It had a crispy croissant-like exterior with soft bread inside. A bit sweet for me, but still delicious.
Atmosphere
The café plays calm and relaxing music, sometimes soft classical pieces. Interestingly, the 2nd floor main hall has an area where you barely hear the music, which made the atmosphere especially quiet and peaceful. It’s a great spot if you’re searching for a quiet cafe near me to work or unwind.
Final Thoughts
I’ll definitely return to Leedorim Coffee & Vegan Bakery, not only for the delicious drinks and desserts but also for its unique concept tied to King Sejong’s history and its serene interior design. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful cafe near Gyeongbokgung Station, a vegan cafe with great pastries, or a hanok cafe with mountain views, Leedorim is a spot you don’t want to miss.
