A warm churros cafe in Hyehwa perfect for dates and cozy moments

If you’re searching for a cozy date spot in Seoul, Hyehwa Churros Date Cafe Chillin is one of the best places to visit. Just a 7-minute walk from Exit 4 of Hyehwa Station, the café sits inside a quiet alley decorated with Christmas trees and warm holiday lights during the winter season. It’s perfect for anyone looking for churros near me, a cozy cafe, or a relaxed date location in the Hyehwa area. Chillin offers indoor seating and a small outdoor area.

Since it was winter, the outdoor Christmas decor added to the date atmosphere, though most people stayed inside because of the cold weather.

I arrived around 1 PM, and there were plenty of seats. Inside, Christmas decorations were placed throughout the café, creating a soft, warm, and comfortable vibe—perfect for chatting and enjoying dessert.

Some square tables had power outlets, which made it convenient for laptop work as well.

At the counter, churros, salt bread, brownies, and mocha bread were neatly displayed. The staff hands you the menu directly when you approach.

Chillin Checklist & Menu

The café has a checklist: 1) There is a 3-hour seating limit but you can stay longer if you order another drink when you are informed of the time. 2) one drink is required per person 3) no outside food allowed 4) no smoking in the terrace area 5) make sure to tell the staff if you are moving tables and chairs or changing seats.

The menu includes coffee, milkshakes, banana pudding, tiramisu, and even cocktails.

Since Chillin is popular on Instagram for its churros and milkshakes, I ordered the churros set, a milkshake, a grapefruit ade, and a cream latte. There’s no buzzer—staff bring your order directly to your table.

The Churros Set (Chocolate & Cream Cheese Blueberry | 8,000KRW) came with thick churros coated heavily in sugar and cinnamon. The chocolate dip tasted like sweet Nutella while the blueberry cream cheese dip added a tangy flavor. The churros themselves were delicious even without dipping. Personally, I like it best on its own without the sauce or with the milkshake dip.

Milkshake(7,000KRW): a classic sweet vanilla ice cream flavor.

Grapefruit Ade(6,500KRW): refreshing, with a little bitterness.

Cream Latte(5,500KRW): bold espresso with smooth, sweet cream.
