During my Busan trip, I am leaving a Horang Gelatteok Busan review as a dessert experience.
This dessert, where you can enjoy gelato and sticky rice cake together, left a strong impression with the rich flavor unique to gelato and the chewy texture of glutinous rice cake. I highly recommend this as a gift dessert from Busan.

There are 7 flavors including pistachio, matcha, strawberry chocolate chip, everyone’s cookie, honey chestnut, almond mint chocolate chip, and salt milk.

I packed Horang Gelatteok (gelato + sticky rice cake) in four flavors and ate it at the accommodation. Overall, the gelato flavors were rich and filled to the core, and the sticky rice cake was much chewier than expected. This point stood out clearly in this Horang Gelatteok Busan review.
Horang Gelatteok Busan Taste Review
- Roasted Pistachio
It had a rich and nutty pistachio and bean-like flavor.

2. Organic Jeju Matcha
A deep and concentrated matcha flavor.

3. Strawberry Chocolate Chip
It tasted like rich strawberry milk with small chocolate chips that added texture.

4. Everyone’s Cookie
A cookie flavor similar to Lotus Biscoff.

All the flavors were delicious, but my personal favorite was the matcha gelatteok.
I ate it about 20 minutes after packing, and it was not overly frozen or hard. Instead, the sticky rice cake became even chewier. The packaging design was cute yet clean, making it suitable as a gift dessert from Busan. Although there is no store in Seoul, the overall quality of this gelato dessert was high.
Why You Should Buy Horang Gelatteok?
This Horang Gelatteok Busan review shows that Horang Gelatteok is not simply a dessert that combines gelato and sticky rice cake, but a well-balanced dessert that highlights the strengths of both. The gelato flavors were not light; each ingredient’s taste was clearly expressed and rich. The sticky rice cake texture was also impressive. Despite being a frozen dessert, it was not tough and retained its chewy texture. When eaten about 20 minutes after packing, the gelato was soft while the sticky rice cake became even chewier. There are seven flavors in total — pistachio, matcha, strawberry chocolate chip, everyone’s cookie, honey chestnut, almond mint chocolate chip, and salt milk — allowing people to choose based on their preference. This variety makes it a good gift dessert option. Personally, organic Jeju matcha was my top choice.
The packaging was not only cute but also neatly organized, making it suitable as a Busan souvenir. While it is unfortunate that there is no store in Seoul, it remains memorable as a dessert that you can only experience in Busan.
