D-Lifestyle Kitchen Gwanghwamun is a restaurant where both the atmosphere and food are consistently satisfying, which is why my family reserves and visits this place on every important occasion. Even on weekdays, it can be difficult to get a seat, and for special days, reservations are almost essential. This time, we visited after reserving the Christmas set available on December 24 (Christmas Eve) and December 25 (Christmas).

The restaurant has earned four Blue Ribbons, symbolizing top-level taste and service, and has also been featured on Master of Living, further proving its reputation as a best restaurant in Seoul.

One of the highlights of D-Lifestyle Kitchen Gwanghwamun is its focus on healthy dining. The menu includes sugar-free low-carb high-fat options, phytochemical-based dishes, and Mediterranean-style meals, making it one of the most trusted healthy food places near me.

Interior & Atmosphere

The interior features refined lighting and a luxurious, modern design. It suits both romantic dinners and family gatherings. Because it was Christmas Eve, the restaurant was crowded, but even on regular days, it is usually fully booked.

We visited as a group of four and selected the 245,000KRW Christmas Family Set at D-Lifestyle Kitchen Gwanghwamun.

Drink Recommendation

We ordered three grapefruit ades and one lemon ade. Among them, grapefruit ade is highly recommended. The lemon ade lacked sweetness and had a stronger bitterness compared to the grapefruit option.

The ricotta cheese carries a strong truffle aroma and it’s creamy. Well-done beef is included, and the ricotta pairs nicely with the fresh salad.

Baguette with Grass-fed Butter
Crispy on the outside with a buttery aroma. It pairs perfectly when dipped into the ricotta cheese or cheese stew.

Whole Pollack Roe Cream Pasta
This pasta delivers rich seafood flavor combined with pollack roe, creating a deep umami taste. It is one of the signature dishes at D-Lifestyle Kitchen Gwanghwamun.

Seafood Paella
Slightly spicy with a smoky aroma, this paella has a subtle Chinese-style influence and strong smoky flavor. Highly satisfying and flavorful.

These two dishes remain our family’s all-time favorites. It was our first time trying the spicy cheese stew and it became our another favorite dish.

Steak Menu

Two medium-cooked steaks were served as the final course. The medium doneness was ideal, and both cuts were tender and juicy.

Cream Spinach Tenderloin Steak
Served with truffle-scented(?) mushrooms and a sauce with a strong blue cheese aroma. This is either you like it or hate it.

Sirloin Steak with Mashed Potato Purée
The mashed potato purée surrounded by basil sauce delivered a rich and creamy flavor.

Best Menu Combination Recommendation

Because the blue cheese aroma was quite strong, I personally preferred the sirloin steak with mashed potato purée. Since both steaks feature creamy sauces, adding a steak with a different sauce style would be nice. Overall, we think that the Christmas 3-Person Triple Set offers the most satisfying combination.

Even without the Christmas set, the menu lineup remains strong year-round. Our family’s top picks were the whole pollack roe cream pasta, seafood paella, and spicy cheese stew.
