Honest review of the 3 best restaurants in Jinju from a 1 night 2 day trip — Jeil Restaurant, Subok Bakery, and Songgiwon Jinju Naengmyeon.
After a 1 night 2 day Jinju trip, I’m sharing 3 of the best restaurants in Jinju that I personally visited. In my last Jinju restaurant trip, I introduced Korean beef, yukhoe bibimbap, and Jinju naengmyeon. This time, all 3 spots are well-known as great restaurants, so when you visit Jinju, be sure to try them at least once.
Best Restaurants In Jinju 1. Yukhoe Bibimbap & Spicy Raw Ray Salad — Jeil Restaurant
Jeil Restaurant 📍 Location 37-8 Jungang Market-gil, Jinju-si, Gyeongsangnam-do 🕒 Opening Hours Mon–Sun 10:30 – 19:00 (Last Order 18:50) 📞 Contact 055-741-5591 |

Celebrity autographs are hanging on the wall.

We ordered yukhoe bibimbap and spicy raw ray salad (가오리무침/gaori muchim).

Side dishes came out, followed by the spicy raw ray salad.

The spicy raw ray salad had ray with crunchy bones and radish well marinated in a sweet-and-salty sauce, so I kept reaching for it.

The yukhoe bibimbap contains zucchini, bean sprouts, spinach, and raw beef and is delicious. The bibimbap comes with radish soup. Taking a bite of yukhoe bibimbap and then a bite of spicy raw ray salad creates a harmonious combination. Instead of kimchi, I kept eating the spicy raw ray salad. Jeil Restaurant, famous as a Jinju yukhoe bibimbap spot — if you go, definitely order both of these menus.

2. 50-Year-Old Steamed Red Bean Buns — Subok Bakery
Subok Bakery 📍 Location 1st Floor, 8 Jinju-daero 1088beon-gil, Jinju-si, Gyeongsangnam-do 🕒 Opening Hours Mon–Sun 12:00 – 17:00 Regular closing on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month 📞 Contacy 055-741-0520 |

We went from opening time, but since it’s a famous place, people were already lining up.

There were about 6 tables. Although there are few tables, people eat and leave quickly, so seats became available right away.

Many people ordered the steamed red bean buns, so we also ordered 2 servings.

Dipping the fluffy steamed red bean bun filled with red beans into the sweet red bean sauce was sweet and delicious. Subok Bakery is a must-visit dessert spot when you travel to Jinju.

3. Jinju Naengmyeon & Beef Jeon — Songgiwon Jinju Naengmyeon
Songgiwon Jinju Naengmyeon Main Branch 📍Location 1-2 Modeok-ro 47beon-gil, Jinju-si, Gyeongsangnam-do 🕒 Opening Hours Mon–Sun 10:30 – 20:00 (Last Order 15:40, 19:40) Break Time 16:00 – 17:00 📞 Contact 055-758-2210 |

The restaurant was spacious and clean.

We got the self-serve broth.

We ordered Sunjo 1800 mul-naengmyeon (순조 1800년 물냉면/cold water naengmyeon), Songgiwon 1997 seokkeum-naengmyeon (송기원 1997년 섞음냉면/mixed naengmyeon), Dongilgaae beef short rib soup(동일가애), and Woojeon Korean beef jeon(우전).

The beef short rib soup has large, tender pieces of meat and the broth has a deep flavor.

The noodles in both the mul-naengmyeon and seokkeum-naengmyeon are chewy, and each has its own charm. The mul-naengmyeon has a non-stimulating flavor but the broth is delicious, and the seokkeum-naengmyeon has an addictive seasoning.

The beef jeon has thin slices of meat, so try dipping it in the sauce. If you want a Jinju naengmyeon restaurant that also serves great beef jeon, I recommend Songgiwon Jinju Naengmyeon.
